The site at 159th and Metcalf, once the site of a proposal by St. Louis-based LuxLiving, now has a new plan by local developer Oddo Development.
At Overland Park’s April 7th Planning Commission meeting, plans will be reviewed for a massive mixed-use development that includes:
- 873 apartments
- 62 “brownstone” units
- 26,000sf of commercial space
- 1630 parking spaces (719 surface, 641 garage, 146 “tuck under” garage stalls, and 124 private garage stalls in the brownstones)
The buildings will be clad in a mixture of brick, metal, EIFS, stone veneer, and wood and stand a maximum of 5-stories.
The development will replace a Greenfield at the southeast corner of the 159th and Metcalf intersection. Nearby is a Walmart store, the Blue Valley High School, and the under construction “Bluhawk” shopping center at 159th and US-69.
159th and Metcalf is just one of Oddo’s development large Johnson County projects. At 135th and State Line, “East Village” will include a mixture of single-family, twin villas, brownstones, apartments, retail and office space across 116 acres.
Lenexa-based Oddo Development is the developer for the project. Klover Architects is the design architect.
