There’s a lot going on in Kansas City. As one explores our region, you see construction sites of varying size. You might find yourself often asking, “what’s going on there?” or “when did this get built?”
It’s easy to lose track of the things that are going on in town, but I’m here to help.
After operating the CityScene STL blog in St. Louis, I’m now pleased to launch the KC Pulse.
The goal of this blog is to keep my hand on the pulse of Kansas City regional real estate development and, as a result, keep you informed on those ongoing projects, and those yet to come, in an unfiltered and ad-free way. Most all posts will be meant for short reads, but they won’t be short on information. I’ll attempt to pack as much information as I can into a single post so that you don’t miss out on any details.
On occasion, long-form posts will be published detailing particular projects.
I’m focusing on the following areas (to start):
- City of Kansas City
- North Kansas City
- Kansas City Kansas
- Overland Park
- Mission (and their smaller neighbors of Roeland Park, Westwood, Mission Woods, and Fairway)
If you’re a real estate development geek like me, I hope you find the posts informative enough for you to impress your family and friends with your knowledge of what’s going on around town. Feel free to share these posts as you see fit. The more people who can be informed on what’s to come, the better.
I want to make one thing clear – this is a hobby. I’m not being paid to do these posts. I do this because I feel that it’s important to document our region’s change. We have a lot to look forward to.
For a more interactive experience (polls, project update photos, random observation posts, and the ability to contact me) feel free to follow the KC Pulse on X and Facebook (to start).
As this blog gets going, all posts up until April 1st 2025 will have been written based off my new development related posts on X from the January 2024 until the end of March 2025. This “migration” has allowed me to have an “archive” of previous posts to refer back to when writing future posts on the KC Pulse.
I look forward to keeping you all informed and interacting with you as time goes on.
Sincerely, Chris Stritzel
