A new apartment building could rise in the Crossroads at 2131 Washington Street in the coming years. The site’s located just south of Southwest Boulevard and next door to Rochester Brewing and Roasting Company.
Plans have been submitted for a 14-story apartment tower with 101 apartment units and an office space. All apartments will be studio or one-bedroom. Amenities will be on the roof. The office component will sit in an existing brick structure, which will be integrated into the new building. The project will involve removing a small surface parking lot.
The building will be clad in brick and is currently conceptual. The number of parking spaces isn’t included in the plans. The application states that historic tax credits (HTCs) and a PIEA incentive will be sought.
The new apartment building is designed by Veritas A+D, a local architecture firm owned by Travis Wilson. The developer is not noted in applications made to the City.
